The latest version of our online editors is already available with advanced forms, inserting SmartArt graphic, enhanced password protection and formula calculations, Paste Special for slides, ChatGPT and Zoom plugins, and other features. Read on to discover all the updates.
Advanced forms
From now on, work with digital forms becomes even more effective. You can create and assign various recipient roles for field filling to simplify document workflow. This way users will be able to visually identify which fields they should fill out depending on the role-matching colors.
In the future updates, we are going to extend this functionality by adding an ability to set recipient roles with restrictions as well as e-signatures.
Besides, version 7.3 brings new ready-to-use fields to create forms more quickly:
- Date & Time (with multiple display options)
- ZIP code
- Credit card

SmartArt graphic
Insert SmartArt elements into your documents, spreadsheets, and slides to quickly create a visual representation of your information and ideas.
The following SmartArt types are available:
- List
- Process
- Cycle
- Hierarchy
- Relationship
- Matrix
- Pyramid
- Picture
- Others

Extended document protection
Version 7.3 brings another option to password protect your text documents and at the same time allow only certain actions in the file: reading, filling forms, commenting, or tracking changes.
Where to find: Protection tab -> Protect Document
Paste link
Add links between several spreadsheets which are kept in the file manager in your ONLYOFFICE Workspace using copy-paste.
Where to find: Hold Ctrl or Command and hit Paste link
Watch Window
Conveniently inspect, audit, or confirm formula calculations and results in large spreadsheets. By using the Watch Window, you don’t need to repeatedly scroll or go to different parts of your worksheet.
Where to find: Formula tab -> Watch Window
New formulas
Make your calculations even more effective using the newly added formulas: TEXTBEFORE, TEXTAFTER, TEXTSPLIT, VSTACK, HSTACK, TOROW, TOCOL, WRAPROWS, WRAPCOLS, TAKE, DROP, CHOOSEROWS, and CHOOSECOLS.

Unicode and LaTeX equations
In the document editor, you are now able to create math equations using the Unicode and LaTeX syntax.
Where to find: Insert tab -> Equation -> Settings of the inserted equation -> Unicode/LaTeX
Paste Special for slides
Use Paste Special hotkeys to quicker work with slide inserting in your presentations. Among available options are:
- Use destination theme
- Keep source formatting
- Picture
Where to find: Hold Ctrl or Command and hit corresponding buttons
New plugins: ChatGPT and Zoom
The ChatGPT plugin integrates the AI-based chatbot developed by OpenAI. Using it, you are able to get accurate answers to your questions, quickly find information, generate texts, and even get your code built right in ONLYOFFICE Docs. Learn more
The Zoom plugin allows hosting conferences directly in the interface of ONLYOFFICE editors. You can make video and audio calls while collaborating on your documents with team using complete functionality of the Zoom platform: start, schedule, and join meetings, configure meeting parameters. Both plugins can be easily enabled through the built-in Plugin Manager in the Plugins tab with one click.
Usability improvements
We made some interface updates for more comfortable user experience, including:
- Show/hide left and right panels in the View tab;
- Equation shortcut bar;
- Document statistics button in the status bar;
- Presets for inserting horizontal/vertical text boxes;
- Guides and gridlines settings available in the View tab and slide context menu, and Smart Guides in the presentation editor.
Other useful enhancements
- Data import from local XML files in the spreadsheet editor;
- Rotation settings for 3D charts;
- Dictionaries for the Uzbek language (both Cyrillic and Latin);
- Displaying error bars when opening charts.
