Odt Paragraph do not add line does not survive a save and reopen

Fedora 39
onlyoffice-desktopeditors-8.1.1-27.el7.x86_64

And ODT document with “do not add a line spacing” does not survive a save and reopen. Two things that happen.

  1. empty line get the extra line added back
    Screenshot_2024-07-23_15-48-19

  2. lines with writing get clipped and the remainder gets added to the next line

This is what LibreOffice 24.8 loads the saved file as:

You will note that the extra empty lines were not shown in LibreOffice, but that the wrap around lines still got clipped and added to the next line.

Remove the .ods from TestText.txt.ods from the text that was copied and pasted (your upload won’t take .txt files)
TestText.txt.ods (420 Bytes)

This is the mangled file that did not survive the save as odt.
Paragraph.Line.odt (4.4 KB)

And this is the movie:
Paragraph.Lines.mkv (3.7 MB)

Hello @Todd

We will take a closer look at this situation. I’ll let you know once any news come up.

Very cool. Thank you. Also, this is an odt problem . It does not occur with docx files.

This is an issue with conversion to ODT, bug on this behavior was registered earlier. We will inform you once this issue is resolved.
