When using the document revision mode, inserting a content control will cause the revision record to display incorrectly. For example, it will show that text has been inserted, but I have not inserted any text, and the revision record may show text that was not the text selected when inserting the content control. All versions have this problem.
Hello @jimmyLiang,
Please provide the screen recording of the step-by-step issue reproduction and the original document which you use for the reproduction (also, please mention the version on which you are testing although you state that the issue occurs on different versions)
Hi, @DmitriiV ,thanks for your reply.
This is the image where I reproduced the issue.
steps:
- Enable revision mode.
- Select a piece of text.
- Insert a plain text content control.
At this point, two revision records will be generated as shown in the picture. My version is 7.3.3.
I attempted to create a separate document by inserting a plain text content control. Then, I selected random Open设置字体 text in your document while revision mode was enabled and inserted the content control. As a result, no additional revision record was generated.
Please provide a screen recording of the step-by-step reproduction process to ensure I am replicating the behavior correctly. The described issue does not occur in version 8.2.1 following the above steps.
The screen I demonstrated was based on version 7.3.3, but I found that 8.1.1 seemed to have the same issue.
We are currently analysing the issue, thank you for sharing
