Version 8.3.1
The word file is inconsistent with the local office when previewing. I checked the page margins and paper size and there is no difference.
Is it possible that the paragraph settings in Office use pound as the unit, while OnlyOffice uses centimeters as the unit?
In addition, I also found that the symbols are rendered incorrectly. For example, the “、” in Chinese and English are different placeholders in Office, and in Only Office, it is \ in English, not the “、”.
This type of symbol rendering problem also includes “(”, “)”, “,” and so on. In Office, the placeholders in Chinese and English are different, and onlyoffice seems unable to handle it.
Hello @Lees,
Please provide the original file where the issues occurs
Generally, the units which are used are defined by the following parameter: Editor | ONLYOFFICE
Please use the sample file above. There are 3 pages in the local office and 4 pages in onlyoffice. When the image is set to “float above text”, the rendering error occurs.
Sorry for asking what do you mean by a rendering error!
here on your file! the only error i saw is that you insist on your “Enter-spam formatting method,”
I may be wrong to understand your question as all what i see is that the “object” behave exactly as expected…
Oh I see…
Opening this file with a different office dees indeed show a different “rendering” as you name it:.
The fix? stop abusing the Enter key and use proper formatting tools like:
Tables for structured alignment.
Margins and indents instead of spaces/enters.
Anchoring the image properly (inline, wrapped, or in a text box).
I have just done that and voilà. it works… “don’t wait for a demonstration video, i have Microsoft office on a different pc ”
@DmitriiV My usage scenario is to get better compatibility with Microsoft Office. There are a lot of files with the above rendering errors because many of my file images are floating.
Secondly, I am very happy that the official can pay attention to my problem and give a response!
I look forward to you fixing it as soon as possible
