Why Only office doesn't have a local Zotero app plugin?

Why Only office doesn’t have a local Zotero app plugin? Does it must to subscribe Zotero online paid version given the library size to sync? Also it lacks classic view to choose references? Am I missing something?
I really miss Zotero classic view in Onlyoffice. Could yor team consider intergrating zotero plugin similar to MsWords please. word_processor_integration [Zotero Documentation]

Hello @awy

Not quite sure what do you mean. As I can see plugin for other processors also syncs with your library.

No, you can register free account, add necessary items to your library to add references via Zotero plugin in ONLYOFFICE Docs or ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors.

Hi,
I think what @awy meant was that that the ONLYOFFICE Zotero plugin only works with Zotero when Zotero is used with an online cloud storage account, NOT with Zotero when Zotero is used with locally stored data.

This is what is stopping me moving from SoftMaker Office NX to ONLYOFFICE since SoftMaker Zotero plugin also works with Zotero using locally stored data

So, it is possible to implement this with Zotero - using only local storage

please please do this!!!
Grovel!

I would love to pay for Zotero cloud storage (I believe in and practice paying / donating to keep open source going) but I am an academic and have 12 GB of data in my Zotero so this means $120 per year for their unlimited storage option

Hello @Leigh

Thank you for your feedback. The suggestion to implement possibility to work with local data via Zotero plugin was registered earlier, so I am adding your query to it.
Unfortunately, as of now I am not aware of any estimated timelines for this suggestion. Once this suggestion is implemented I will let you know.

the Zotero Plugin for Onlyoffice is a real bummer and at least for me it was the final reason to decide against Onlyoffice. The functionality is just too limited, it is not even possible to edit the fields to add page numbers to the in text citations. If you just add them manually, but change the citation style, all manual changes will be deleted. This is no state to be in for academic writing. I need some safety that a simple missclick or change in style does not mean a massive throwback. So, while Onlyoffice at first seemed to be the perfect replacement of MS Office to me, the blatant lack of proper Zotero integrity made it a hard pass for me.
