What management options are there for the main files listing ("Recent files")?

The main files list (“Recent files”) in Desktop Editors doesn’t show any apparent options for such operations as ‘searching’ for files (by ‘filename’, ‘filename extension’, etc.) or ‘sorting’ them in any other way than the default (by date).

Are there such options?
