Spreadsheet - typing letters should help select value in drop-down list

Hi
Currently, in OO, drop-down lists are not helping the user.
To improve the situation, it would be nice if:

  1. at least, typing a letter put the focus on the values starting with the letter (as in LO):
    soffice.bin_20240106-11h44min34s
    (in the above video, I type “f”)

  2. It could even filter the list, to keep only the values matching the typed letters.

Thank you for your idea. The suggestion to implement possibility to search in a drop-down list is already registered and I’ve added your query to it.
Unfortunately, I cannot provide any approximate dates on introduction of this feature.

Hi! Any changes about this feature? I’m found that it’s not still available in latest OO 9.0

Unfortunately, this enhancement was not implemented in 9.0. Sorry for the inconvenience.
