Spreadsheet table shortcuts

I was pleasantly surprised to see that Excel table behave almost as expected for someone coming from Excel. Very nice!
Nevertheless I miss Excel table shortcuts, like Ctrl+Space for selecting the data column or Shift+Space for selecting the data row, but only in the table scope. See here for instance: https://www.excelcampus.com/tables/table-shortcuts/
Formula don’t automatically apply till the end when a new row is appended.
I miss the fact that using tab on the last cell dowwards doesn’t create a new row.
And I miss Ctrl+, which goest from corner to corner clockwise, even though more shorcuts could be added to navigate the table.
I think we cannot move columns to be within 2 columns as far as I have seen.
Are these features which would make a seamless integration with Excel planned?
Anyway I was impressed structured references already work.

Thanks!

Hello @jgran

Please specify version of Desktop Editor you are using as most of these shortcuts or at least similarly functioning shortcuts are already available:

For instance, CTRL/Shift + Space is supported.

Hi,
I use the Desktop editor (version 8.3.1). I had time to explore a bit further, and discovered that all expected functions are already implemented as right-click contextual menues. This link was very useful. I just miss shortcuts !
Shift+Space selects all row of the sheet, not the row of the table.
Ctrl+Space selects all column of the sheet, not the data column.

Another thing I noticed is that formulas are not automatically applied to bottom when a new line is created.
And the best selling point: the header don’t stay visible when we navigate down the table.

Altogether, it’s already amazing to see almost one-to-one feature implemented.
Thanks!

Would you mind providing a demo as I am not quite following this description? If possible, please also share a reference to what you are expecting in such case.

Also, could you please share a demo for better visual understanding of described issue?

here’s an example in a table (“Tableau1”), Excel on the left, OnlyOffice on the right. After defining the formula, when I click Enter, the formula is applied on whole column in Excel, but not in OnlyOffice:

(sorry, I cannot post 2 embedded images in one reply)

Here’s an illustration of the feature. When we scroll downword and remain in the table, the header remains visible. People really appreciate it!

or see here if clearer than me :
Table headers remain visible even when you scroll down

Thanks a lot!
Best regards

Thanks for the screenshots, I see now. We will check out these behaviors and I will provide a feedback.

I found out that these two problems are just missing features, but both of them were registered earlier. These suggestions will be implemented in future versions of Desktop Editors. Thanks for the interest.

Thank you very much.
Is there any place one can follow the progress?

OnlyOffice is really great !

I will let you know once any news come up.
