Spreadsheet not saved when using OneDriver

OS version: Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS
App version: 8.0.1.31 (snap) Onlyoffice
Downloaded from: ONLYOFFICE website / Other (specify)

I just started working on Ubuntu 22 LTS and after a short trial with LibreOffice, I found OnlyOffice being more appealing, especially, after using MS Office before.

To access my OneDrive files in the cloud, I am using OneDriver (note the R at the end  , onedriver v0.14.1 15a1c642) . I think its just mapping them as a network drive.

After editing Excel files stored on OneDrive(r) for a couple of hours and frequently pressing the save button, I was shocked that nothing got saved.

Googling for “not saved OnlyOffice” gave a lot of matches…

Are you able to fix this?

Hi @matt
I managed to reproduce the issue.

It’s worth noting that testing of OnlyOffice Desktop Editors with the “OneDriver” application has not been conducted.
I will inform you as soon as additional information about the issue is available.

Hey @matt

Our team has confirmed that this is a bug and has registered it. :handshake:
At the moment, there is no timeframe for fixing this bug.

Please make this bug a priority. A lot of office document work (almost all of it in my case) is done on OneDrive, and for Linux users the Onedriver app is the best and most common way to access OneDrive. For users like us, OnlyOffice is completely useless until this bug is fixed. Worse, for those who may not know about the bug, they could spend hours or days doing work that they don’t even realize is never saved. I myself very nearly sent a monthly report with old invalid data; fortunately I noticed the unchanged document before I sent it but i had to redo it 3 times before I realized it was not saving and I had to do it in LibreOffice.

From what I’ve seen in the github bug report, this functionality used to work on older versions of OnlyOffice, and there is a .deb OnlyOffice binary that works now but that doesn’t help those who install or update from package managers or using RedHat based distros.
