Shadow should follow content, not box (Shadow of a transparent PNG looks silly)

Bug / Feature.

OS version: Void Linux + flatpak
App version: 8.3.3
Downloaded from: flatpak
Additional information: Take any png with transparent bounds (a simple circle for example). Paste into presentation. Apply a shadow. The whole box becomes gray. The shadow is applied to the bounding box instead of the content in it. Might be similar to the recently added “Text Shadow” problem, though I’m sure the solution is different. Libre and MS apply shadows to the contents of boxes, not the bounding box.

Hello
I was considering to do the same feature request, thanks !

Hello @Kerrnel and @arcqus

May I ask you to share some screenshots of described behavior or, ideally, a test document?

Hello

With OO:

With LO:

The file:
Exemple 1.pptx (2.2 MB)

PS : there is what I consider as a silly limitation on this forum : .odp files can’t be uploaded :frowning:
PPS : the issue is not related to the format of the file.

Thank you for the references and file. We are taking closer look at them. Please await my feedback.

Another view of what I was mentioning. Screenshot of file created in OO, opened in LO - LO @ 200%, OO @ 150% (interesting scaling difference).

Hello again @arcqus, @Kerrnel

Thanks for patience. I was informed that this is a known issue. The work is in progress, so I will provide an update once this issue is fixed.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
