Pressing the Tab key in Documents has no effect

This is my problem: When I press the Tab key in Documents (Version 7.1) on my iPad Air4 (iPadOS 15.5) no new Tab is created. Can this problem be solved?
Otherwise everything is fine with the Documents App.
