Hello everybody,
after updating ONLYOFFICE in my Nextcloud 30.0.5 / 30.0.6 to 9.6.0 I’m having trouble to load Pdf-files.
If I try to open them in my Nextcloud-Desktop I get the message:
The "documentType" parameter for the config object is invalid. Please correct it.
If I try to open the document from my ONLYOFFICE Desktop Apps through the Nextcloud connection, it creates a new register but nothing else happens (if installed as flatpak) or nothing happens at all (if installed from the .deb installation packet).
My Nextcloud-Server runs on a Debian 12 ProLiant Server, I use Linux Mint 22.1 and MacOs 15 on my desktop computers.
Thanks and best wishes
Hello again,
somewhere on the net I found an old post, the issue seems to emerge on and off after updates. So in the ONLYOFFICE preferences I deactivated that OO opens .pdf files and the message deísappears…
So, maybe next version it is fixed again
Thanks a lot
Hello @Dimpflmoser
I’ve checked Desktop Editors connection to Nextcloud and did not experience any issue. Please specify if opening any PDF files does not work from browser too. Additionally, please let me know version of Document Server that is used.
Hello Constantine,
thanks for your message.
Yes, the error also appears while trying to open the documents from the browser - in fact the error message only turns up, when I’m trying to open the documents from the browser. If I’m using the desktop Edition it opens a new register, but nothing else happens.
I use ONLYOFFICE 9.6.0 and Community Document Server 0.1.20.
Thanks and regards
Helmut
Do you mean an app that is available from Apps menu?
This app is developed by Nextcloud team. If you experience any issues with it, please reach out them on their resources.
With regular installation of Document Server, I do not experience this issue.
