OnlyOffice Struggles on iPad Version

Tab Key does not work, we have to type Enter to come out of a Cell.

Renaming Sheets is not possible - only duplicate, delete & hide

Selecting Cells is a bit complicated. No down arrow with command, shift and arrow would alone select

No Unique, X-Look-Up, Pivot Table, Colour Filter, Paste Special & Data Validation

Keyboard Integration is too bad … that is if I type a formula, I have to select the cells for the formula by hand or mouse not move the arrow keys

Not able to link to other sheets.

Hello @Vn1980
Please clarify if you use iOS app (ONLYOFFICE Documents) or you edit spreadsheets via mobile browser. If you use our app, please let us know the app version, we will check the situation.

Hi
Thanks for your response

From 2004 I am on search for MS Office Replacement. I use LibreOffice on Laptops in general and after switching to iPad as my only computer, I am still struggling to find one suitable office app.

The Charge should be for Cloud and Collaboration Tools not for working through the App in my opinion.

You may look at SoftMaker’s Office and try to model OnlyOffice based on that. As they charge for the basic use of the App without a proper cloud and collaboration tool, I did not go for it and would not recommend others.

OnlyOffice is really promising with cloud and collaboration tools but the Office App lacks several features as pointed out.

I am using the OnlyOffice on my iPad - OS is 16.2 and I hope the App version is V7.2 or above.

Hope this inputs are sufficient.

Thank you for your description, we are checking the situation.

Hello @Vn1980
Please clarify the situation with X-Look-Up and Unique features. If it’s possible, please record a videofile.
As for other mentioned features:

Renaming Sheets is not possible - only duplicate, delete & hide

We’ve double checked that. You have to tap on the name to rename it.

Pivot Table

Do you mean that you’re not able to edit a table? Please clarify the issue.

Keyboard Integration is too bad … that is if I type a formula, I have to select the cells for the formula by hand or mouse not move the arrow keys

Could you please reproduce the situation and record a videofile?

Pivot Table means a report which summarises a Spreadsheet Table. You can visit the below link to know about it

https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/create-a-pivottable-to-analyze-worksheet-data-a9a84538-bfe9-40a9-a8e9-f99134456576

If you type = in a cell, then you need to only select the cells on which a formula to be worked out by Touch, if you move the arrow key then we cannot enter the formula. Example A1 to A5 contains some numbers, I need to total it, then I have two options: type : =Sum(A1:A5) or =Sum( — select by touching the screen A1 to A5) — I am unable to enter the formula by moving arrow keys + Shift Key as I would do if I am using MS Excel Essentials or Free Version. This what I meant by mentioning Keyboard integration is bad. Further If you have to link say a cell in Sheet 2 in Sheet 1, you have to type out the full cell reference but cannot put in = and just go to another sheet and select the cell as I can do with MS Office Essentials, AO Office, Collabora Office, Mobi Office and like (all free versions only)

Yes, renaming sheet is possible, I learned it after a long time. Now again testing OnlyOffice. I really liked the OnlyOffice Editors - Desktop Version for Fedora, it is fantastic and fabulous. Good work.

Hello @Vn1980
I’m glad to see you again.

If I understood it right, your iPad has an external physical keyboard in this scenario, am I right?

I’ve got your confirmation via email, thank you. We are checking the situation.

Hello @Vn1980
