Onlyoffice doc addon for odoo 18 -- access odoo system parameter

Hello,

I have Odoo 18 enterprise and latest onlyoffice doc installed on my VPS instance. The odoo addon installed as well. As an admin of odoo system, everything works fine. But just found out that normal odoo user can not edit docs. Following is the error msg.

You are not allowed to access ‘System Parameter’ (ir.config_parameter) records.

This operation is allowed for the following groups:
- Administration/Settings

Contact your administrator to request access if necessary.

Why odoo addon need to access odoo system parameter? Practically, it is impossible to assign normal users to odoo “Admin/Setting” group. Anybody reported this problem? Or there is quick fix?

OK. I figured it out.

In order to use onlyoffice addon in odoo. You need to create a access group and add access right “ir_config_parameter_system” in it.

Add the user(s) to this group. You are good to go.

Please add this information to you odoo addon documentation. You can close this ticket for now.
