Good news for Moodlers!

Docs, sheets and slides in Moodle assignments
The previous version of the ONLYOFFICE Assign Submission plugin for Moodle made it possible to use PDF forms to complete assignments, which was great in general but not enough in some educational scenarios. Following the requests of Moodle users, we updated the plugin to version 2.1.0 allowing teachers and students to work with text documents, spreadsheets and presentations while creating and completing their assignments.
With the updated plugin, teachers have the ability to choose the required document type depending on what they want their students to do when they complete an assignment. For example, if the students have to write an essay on a certain topic, the teacher can choose “Document” as the submission format. The “Presentation” option works well if the teacher wants their students to create informative slides with images and text. “Spreadsheet” seems an ideal choice for assignments which imply data calculations.
The default submission type is “Form”, and you can choose another option from the drop-down list when creating a new assignment.
When you choose “Document”, “Spreadsheet” or “Presentation”, your students will be able to open a blank file of the corresponding type, edit it using the functionality of the ONLYOFFICE suite and submit their work for grading. That’s how this plugin works.
