Numeric format issues when copy/pasting from OO spreadsheet to presentation

Hello,

just came across an issue when copying/pasting a table from OO spreadsheet to a slide of a presentation. My regional formating in OO spreadsheet is set to German/Austria. So my currency number format looks like this: € 100,00. When I copy this cell and paste it into a slide in OO presentation it is being converted to € 100.00 although my language is set to German.

How can I prevent this convertion or is this a known bug?

Windows 11 / OO 8.3.3.21

Thanks,
Georg

Hello @georg03

I did not manage to reproduce the issue. May I ask you to record a video demo of your actions for better understanding of sequence of actions?

Hello Constantine,

unfortunately I was not able to upload a video since I am a new user. So here a shared link showing the issue with a currency and number format:

As you can also see in OO Presentation, all table settings show the dot as decimal separator which should not be when using German/Austria as regional settings.

If you want to insert copied data in raw format, preserving all characters, then you can user Paste Special feature: once data is inserted, use small helper in the corner of inserted content with option Keep text only or alternatively use Ctrl and then T after insertion.

I do not want to insert text only, I want to keep the source styling as well since I am not copying just single cells. I am copying complete tables with a custom layout. The video is showing only the buggy behaviour of numeric cells.

Thank you for the feedback. I was informed that this issue will be fixed in upcoming 9.0 release of the editor. Please await for an update and check the situation again. I am looking forward to your feedback.
