I have been trying now for a long time to get OnlyOffice to work in NextCloud on UCS 5…
I keep getting this error from the interface when I try to press save in Admin Settings → ONLYOFFICE:
Error when trying to connect (Error occurred in the document service: Error while downloading the document file to be converted.) (version 188.8.131.52)
I have no idea how to even trouble shoot this, especially since it’s on UCS so everything is very univentiony (f.eks. How To Edit config.php in Nextcloud App - Community - Univention Help)
Please reproduce the issue and make screenshot of whole connector app page.
After that please provide us with:
- Document server logs folder, it’s located here: /var/lib/univention-appcenter/apps/onlyoffice-ds/logs
- Local.json file. It’s located inside Document server container: /etc/onlyoffice/documentserver/local.json
- Config.php file from Nextcloud
- Nextcloud logs

Thanks for getting back so fast and sorry for the rather uninformative post yesternight (I had been poking it for hours…).
Here is what I have found out so far:
When I access NC through myIP/nextcloud it works no matter if I set the doc server to be IP/onlyoffice-documentserver/ or FQDN/onlyoffice-documentserver/
If I go though FQDN/nextcloud I can never get the doc server to work…
Here’s the interesting part, if I go through IP/nextcloud and set the doc server to FQDN/nextcloud I can the go to the FQDN page and it will load OO but complain that the document is not accessible at the moment…
Anyways, logs coming up… And if you definitely need pictures I can make those too
I am actually not completely sure if any of the info in the logs is sensitive, so I’ll PM for good measure… Please feel free to inform weather or not it is, so I can possibly post it here for future people to find
