Nextcloud - OO connection

Hi!

We have installed OO document Server on a Synology NAS Docker. We are able to reach the welcome page both via http and https with reverse proxy set. Healthcheck is true.

We cannot connect to the server from Nextloud.

  1. To OO with http - Error Https is required
  2. To OO with https - (cURL error 7: Failed to connect to my.domain.xx port xxxx: Connection refused (see libcurl - Error Codes)

Please note that we didn’t test scenario like yours (installation on Synology NAS). Usually, we recommend to use separate ‘clean’ server for Document server installation. It’s necessary to avoid dependencies and port conflicts.

As for the issue in general. First of all, please check that mutual availability between servers is OK. For example, go to Document server and run wget https://Nextcloud_domain_name. And vice versa.

Also let us know versions of Document server, Nextcloud, connector app. One more thing, go to connector app > click save button > make a screenshot of whole page with output result. After that provide us with whole Document server logs folder. It’s located here: /app/onlyoffice/DocumentServer/logs/documentserver/

The problem is solved, thanks for all the help!

The Onlyoffice document server was correctly configured. Nextcloud is installed on a shared hosting and the ip and port the Onlyoffice server points to were locked. After whitelisting them everything is working fine.
