New caption below image moves to wrong position

Problem: Adding a new caption that should be placed below an image gets moved on top of the image.

Case example:

  • Image set to wrapping style ‘Square’
  • Right mouse click new caption → caption settings insert: ‘After’
  • Ok
  • The caption moves on top of the image instead of below

This happens both on Linux and MacOS (I don’t know about Windows)

Linux

  • OS version: Linux Fedora 41
  • App version: 8.2.1.38 (flatpack)

Mac (Intel based)

  • OS version: Monterey
  • App version: 7.5.1

I just added this post including two download links to an example file and a video, but the message got flagged.
I think it is because of these external links to my cloud storage.
