Looking to confirm if ONLYOFFICE is ATAG 2.0 Compliant

Hi Everyone,

We’re currently using ONLYOFFICE as our document management system for an ongoing project, with a strong emphasis on ensuring accessibility. This project involves a client who is deeply committed to achieving digital accessibility and adhering to the guidelines outlined in the Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines (ATAG) 2.0.

As part of our process to ensure compliance, we’re seeking clarification regarding ONLYOFFICE’s adherence to ATAG 2.0 standards.

While examining the release notes across different versions of ONLYOFFICE, we’ve come across references to enhancements in accessibility. However, we haven’t been able to locate specific information regarding ONLYOFFICE’s compliance with ATAG 2.0.

Would it be possible for someone to provide confirmation regarding whether ONLYOFFICE is ATAG 2.0 compliant or guide us on how we might be able to verify this ourselves?

Thank you for your assistance.

Hello @ssanand
Please clarify the exact product which you are using. Do I understand it right, you are talking about ONLYOFFICE Workspace\Groups?

Hi @Alexandre ,

No. We are using ONLYOFFICE DocumentServer.

Reference: GitHub - ONLYOFFICE/DocumentServer: ONLYOFFICE Docs is a free collaborative online office suite comprising viewers and editors for texts, spreadsheets and presentations, forms and PDF, fully compatible with Office Open XML formats: .docx, .xlsx, .pptx and enabling collaborative editing in real time.

Hello @ssanand
Thank you for clarification. At this very moment, the editor doesn’t comply with ATAG2.0. However we are working on it. Right now, we are focused on screen readers and actively researching it. I hope we will add screen readers support one day.
Unfortunately, I cannot provide you with timeframes or guarantees at the moment, but I will keep thread open and I will come back to you, when we have something to share.
