Links created in rooms

DocSpace version: 2.6
Type of installation of the DocSpace (docker, deb/rpm, exe, please point us to the installation guide that you used as well): deb
OS: Linux
Browser version: 128.3.1
I am a power user in a Docspace Room. The owner is Administrator and they and I are listed under “Members” as “Administrator”.

I want to share a document with another DocSpace user for collaboration, allowing them to edit realtime.

Unlike in my own Documents area, where I get the opportunity to create a share and set permissions and put a time limit on the validity of the share link, in this room I can only right click on the right hand triple dot and create a link. No options attached.

Then when a share this link with another DocSpace user and they try to open it in a browser, it takes their credentials, asks for 2FA and then shows them a greyed out version of the document with a small message denying access.

Can anyone explain what is going on here.

Hello @pamindic

First of all, please note that there is newer version of DocSpace is available. I believe there was an issue with MFA that might’ve caused certain problems, including this one. I recommend updating your instance to the new version and check out the situation again.

In case the issue with greyed out document persists, please share a screenshot from the browser console after reproducing it.
