Hello @NordSig
There’s no limit for file versions.
We added your idea to internal tracklist (internal number - 56289). We need some time to discuss it internally.
I know this is an older thread, but the topic remains relevant and unresolved.
Each time I update a document, a new version is created, and the previous one is archived. While this feature is helpful, it significantly consumes my free storage space. At the moment, I have 50 versions of a single document, all of which count toward my 2 GB limit.
I believe you are using DocSpace Cloud if any limits, am I right? The suggestion to implement possibility to delete older versions was registered earlier, so I am adding your query to it. Once it is available, I will let you know.
I have observed that the Document Server appears to store a maximum of only 50 historical versions (currently utilizing version 8.2.2.22). After examining the configuration files, I was unable to locate any settings that would allow adjustment of this version retention limit.
Furthermore, when reaching this capacity, the system removes the most recent version rather than the oldest, significantly impairing functionality and rendering this feature practically ineffective.
I would greatly appreciate implementing either a customizable version limit or an alternative solution to address this limitation. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
