Ldap user authentication issue

We are having facing issues when trying to login with ldap users.

DocSpace version:
DocSpace community 2.6 package install (deb)
OS:
Browser version:
firefox 129

Hello dear Community!
The following issue occurred:

We installed the community version of DocSpace as deb package.
We were able to import ldap (ActiveDirectory) users, but when trying to authenticate with one of the users, we cannot login (Server returns HTTP 401).
The imported users list in the accounts view, and their email is correct.

Login attribute: sAMAccountName

Because of the absence of LDAP related logs, we captured the network traffic on the interface and analysed it with wireshark. We were able to see the ldap traffic for importing the users, but no packages were sent regarding authentication of the users.
As i understand it the server should try to authenticate the user using the AD, and not locally, so there should be traffic regarding that on the interface.

Any help is much appreciated.

Greetings

Hello,
Please provide a screenshot of DocSpace /login page with devTools Console opened (F12 for Chrome/Firefox)

Sure here you go.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

Hello,
This issue is related to a bug existing on 2.6 version. As a result of the bug LDAP login checkbox is not rendered on a /login page. Sorry for the inconvenience, the issue has been resolved for 2.6.1 version, we’ll inform in this thread when it is released

We suspected that comparing a working WorkSpace instance with the not working DocSpace instance.
Thank you for your help!

You are welcome. The version with the fix will be released soon

I’ve wasted a few hours trying to figure out what the hell happened :pensive: Any idea when a version of DocSpace that supports LDAP logins will be released?

@kkw In a few days, I will notify

Hello, new version 2.6.2 was released, the above-mentioned issue is resolved for the version, please check

I’m sorry, but where exactly can the update be found?

Ldap with STARTTLS stopped working. I had to switch to mandatory ssl.

Please clarify, what is your type of DocSpace installation?

But it is working after switching, right?
Also, please provide more details on the issue with STARTTLS, provide DocSpace logs after reproducing the issue. Were there any particular issues within the interface? If yes, please provide screenshots (with DevTools Console opened)
What is your type of installation?

I am using Windows Server 2019 and the download page says 2.6.0, but I have downloaded the setup again. In the properties in the details tab it says it is version 2.6.826.0. I assume stopping the services and just installing over it is the way?

The latest version for Windows Server can be downloaded from here: Download ONLYOFFICE DocSpace | ONLYOFFICE
(actually the version there is 2.6.2, although the interface version hasn’t been modified yet)
Yes, stop the services and proceed to install

Thank you very much, that worked well. The checkbox is now actually there.
