Hi,
I need to use the combining macron in a document and can’t find a way of inserting it. Note that this is a diacritical mark, a small horizontal line above a letter.
On MS Word/Windows this is normally done by typing a letter then holding down the Alt key and typing 0304 on the numeric keypad.
Is this possible on OnlyOffice 8.2.2.22 on Linux (Debian 12)?
thanks
Hello @Changejunkie
It is also supported in Desktop Editors. Here is the guide on special characters:
https://helpcenter.onlyoffice.com/onlyoffice-editors/onlyoffice-document-editor/UsageInstructions/InsertSymbols.aspx
An alternative approach is to write down the code, e.g. 0304, after necessary character, select the code and use Alt+X to replace the code with respective special character.
Thank you Constantine, that second option works. Using the Special Characters/symbols dialog box does not work - or at least I could not find a way of selecting the ‘combining macron’ character in the list of characters.
