I need to import a WhatsApp chat export

Hi there:

I want to import a chat export from WhatsApp into OnlyOffice Docs, and I am not sure how to do it. The text imports just fine, but not the emoticons.
The method that I followed was:

Select from the File menu
I selected my file - “_chat.txt”
I was then prompted to select a Unicode, the default being UTF-8, which I selected

The file opens just fine except that none of the emoticons display. I am wondering if there is a way around that. If you could let me know if this is possible or not, and how, I would appreciate it.

As a P.S.: I could do this without any hassle with Google Docs. The place where there is a problem as mentioned is with the emoticons. I am not sure what to do with them…

I seem to recall a problem with emoticons and utf-8.
I may still need to clarify a few details from you.

What does the chat look like in WhatsApp and in the OnlyOffice editor?
In the version 7.4.0 of the editor, emojis are displayed for me.
