How To Make Cell "Text Overflow" - Hidden

When I add a long string such as a URL it spills into neighboring columns. What is the procedure to keep it as a single line, however truncate it at the beginning of the next column.

I do not wish to wrap, but terminate at the right neighbor column

Hello,
When you insert a long string into a cell, it will expand to the neighbor cells incase they are empty, but if the cells contain data, then the string will truncate at the beginning of the next cell.
