How to know the cursor is in header/footer or document in plugin code?

Please elaborate on your scenario, as headers and footers are parts of a document too, so I am not quite following why you’d like to know this.

I’m afraid there no such method exists. You should not be able to drag and drop anything into a header/footer unless double-clicking it to edit.

can we request the api for the future versions? Because when you insert something with your current api, it will need different codes in header & footer

I am not quite following your idea. As I mentioned, before even typing anything into a header/footer you need to open it at first, i.e. double-clicking header/footer from top or bottom part of the document respectively. Without it, you cannot practically drag’n’drop anything there. Once header/footer is opened, you can freely drag’n’drop your content into it.

Please elaborate.
