How to install and run ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors
ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors is an open-source office suite for documents, presentations, spreadsheets, fillable forms and PDFs that runs on Windows, macOS and various Linux distributions. The program has its own package on Gentoo Linux based on the official GitHub repository. The ONLYOFFICE package is regularly updated so you can always install the latest version of the desktop suite.
Under Portage, all packages are installed with the emerge package command, and ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors is not an exception. To get the app installed, it’s necessary to run this command:
emerge -n app-office/onlyoffice-bin
After successful installation, you can launch ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors from the desktop environment. Alternatively, you are allowed to use one of the commands below from the command line:
