Hello @MKVRC
I’ve tried to reproduce the described scenario, but without success. Could you please record a video file with your test? Probably, I’ve made a mistake in my test, so I can’t achieve the " try to exclude one sheet or make visible, all remaining sheets gets excluded as well" scenario.

As for other request: another thing is please provide an option to unhide all sheets in one go
We are checking the situation.

Hi Alexandre,

Thanks for your response and update.

I will try to make a video and share but this is fairly a simple process and can be reproduced easily.

I noticed the same problem with MS excel as well….

In shared excel sheet right click on any sheet and you will get an option “select all sheets” and then choose “hide” then the “Workbook must have at least one sheet visible” message will appear.
There is no direct way to exclude a single sheet! When I tried to exclude a single sheet all the sheets got excluded in the process.

To hide the sheet/s I need to select required sheet/s and then have to hide so was asking to provide a way to exclude a single sheet.

In MS excel there is a way to unhide all or required sheets in one go, for more details refer to the following snapshot

i have made a video but unable to upload it…how this can be done?

Hello @MKVRC
You can upload video file to any external storage and provide us with download link.

Hi Alexandre,

if you select all the sheets in the attached excel file and try to hide at once then you will get the reported error.

then if you try to exclude any one of the sheet then you will notice all the sheets will get excluded at once!!

in the meantime i noticed the same issue with MS excel, softmaker office as well !!

By mistake I did delete the video I had made so need time to make another one. Once done I will share.

Hello @MKVRC

if you select all the sheets in the attached excel file and try to hide at once then you will get the reported error.

then if you try to exclude any one of the sheet then you will notice all the sheets will get excluded at once!!

Sorry, I can’t reproduce it (I’m checking the described scenario on the Windows 11 with the latest Desktop Editors). I’m looking forward for the requested videofile and information about your OS.

By mistake I deleted the video and will try to make another one or will share the snapshots…

I am on Mac OS Monterey (version: 12.6.9)

please find snapshots for more details…

select the shared excel sheet and then right click on any of the sheet an then select “select all sheets” option

then you will notice all the sheets are selected (as highlighted in below snapshot)

then select “hide” option to hide all the earlier selected sheets

then the reported error will popup

then when I try to unselect any one of the sheet all earlier selected sheets will get unselected! and have highlighted the same in below snapshot

question is how to unselect one sheet and hide all other sheets in one go?

so far I have seen this issue in MS excel, softmaaker office and onlyoffice…

hope with this you should be able to recreate the issue at your end.
should you need any more details then please let me know. Thanks

above snapshots are made using MS excel, but when you use onlyoffice the error message will be “Workbook must have at least one sheet visible”

Kindly ignore this request as I found the solution….which is like as follows

  1. Select the first sheet, in this case (TOC0) right click on this sheet and select “insert" from the menu. This will add a new/blank sheet to the left of TOCO sheet.

  2. Now right click again on TOCO sheet and from menu select “Select All Sheets” option.

  3. Then holding SHIFT + CMD (in Mac) / Control + Left click in windows click on the new blank sheet (which was created before TOCO sheet. This will deselect this sheet.

  4. Now again right click on TOCO sheet and from menu select HIDE option, this will hide all the sheets in one go (except new blank sheet)

With above step in MS excel hiding took no time but in onlyoffice it took time to hide → this looks like a bug

Another problem is each sheet to be unhidden one by one! As requested earlier please provide an option to unhide selected or all sheets in one go (this option is already available in MS excel and in Softmaker free office) Thank you.

Hello @MKVRC

We have registered this suggestion as an enhancement to allow user to unhide several or all sheets at once.

Have you tried selecting all sheets with Select All Sheets button and deselecting particular ones with provided combinations to hide selected ones directly on the toolbar? I’ve recorded a demo:

Hi Constantine,

  • Thank you for this consideration

  • Yes, if you follow the below mentioned steps then all the sheets will hide in one go
  1. Select the first sheet, in this case (TOC0) right click on this sheet and select “insert" from the menu. This will add a new/blank sheet to the left of TOCO sheet.
  2. Now right click again on TOCO sheet and from menu select “Select All Sheets” option.
