The comments in Word will be displayed every time you click on the modified place. Now I want to directly display all the comments on the page when opening the modified file. I don’t know whether onlyOffice supports the realization of this function.
Hello @jonhus
Please describe your idea in more detail. Do I understand your scenario right that when a file opens in review mode then all comments which persist in the file should be shown? I assume that this scenario will overload a user’s interface in case if there’re a lot of comments in a file.
Hello @Alexandre I have the same problem as @jonhus .
Comments are intended mainly for collaborative review; the typical situation is that I review the other party’s review, and I need to check every comment they made, in order to possibly reply. In Word and LibreOffice this is easy, because comments’ baloons are all displayed by default. In OnlyOffice I have problems, because if the other party puts a comment at the end of a paragraph, not selecting a specific work or a sentence, it’s very difficult (or almost impossible) to see it in OnlyOffice. I ran into this problem several times, and for me it’s an issue (I’m a lawyer, and I use revisions and comments to negotiate legal documents with counterparts; if I miss a comment, it may have bad consequences for my work; this is preventing me from using OnlyOffice).
More generally, users coming from Word or LibreOffice expect to find a behavior similar to what they used to. What is the point of removing/not providing features that most users would expect from a word processor?
Hello @alpianon
Thank you for your description. Right now, you can see all changes that need approval via the Collaboration tab
However, we have already considered implementing visibility of all changes simultaneously in Review mode. I have added your request to internal tracksystem and I will update this thread once we have something to share.
Hello. I also encountered the same problem. Could you please tell me if this function has been implemented? Which API or configuration is it?
Hello @hezhao
Unfortunately, we are still working on the mentioned suggestion. I will update this thread when we have something to share.
