Grammar checker plans

One of the most important features of any word processor is the possibility of suggesting grammar changes to a sentence in real-time. MS Word does a decent job highlighting the mistakes and proposing alternatives to improve the sentence. This feature is even better with the Grammarly plugin. On OnlyOffice, the LanguageTool plugin does a terrible job! In addition, the way it is designed (selecting text, clicking check in the plugin window) affects seriously the workflow and does not allow for catching possible mistakes in the text that was not “checked” with the plugin. This situation is even worse on Linux, where there is no functional grammar checker part of any office suite. Are there any plans for a native grammar checker? In the worst-case scenario, a Grammarly plugin? Thanks in advance for reading this!

Hello @Rollerpunk ,
We are planning to introduce this feature in the future, there is the existing relevant feature suggestion registered in our bug tracking system. I have added your request to it and will inform you as soon as the version with the grammar checker is introduced

Hello, I totally agree, it’s quite pathetic in 2025 to have a grammatical system that is not up to date. Impossible to correct on the fly like all the other tools, even open source ones. I am French and I will never use OnlyOffice because of this, neither will my company. It feels like we’re back in the Middle Ages regarding grammatical correction. It’s urgent.

We are very sorry for your unsatisfactory experience. Your opinion is important to us, and we will work on the feature
