Feature Request: Multiple insertion in spreadsheet editor, at least on the desktop edition

Do you want to: Suggest a feature / Ask a how-to question
I’d like to insert the same value in multiple cells at once, like I’d do in excel, being:
1/select the cells on the spreadsheet
2/type the value
3/press ctrl+enter

either there is another shortcut I’m not aware of or this is a major blocker for adoption in our department.
If missing please implement it.

We have re-checked the situation and added a bug to the internal tracksystem (internal number - 54553).
We have started working on it.

We are still working on it. I hope we will release a fix with v.7.3, but I can’t provide guarantees at the moment.
