Hello @rlacroix
I have checked mentioned bug (56496). It is not resolved at the moment. We are still working on it.
I will update this post when we release a fix for described situation.
Yeah. I’m still having this issue with my editors (can’t find where I can view the version of the Desktop Editors that I’m using) on Linux Mint 21.3. They’re a mostly excellent product.
Hello @Short-Stay
We are still working on the mentioned issue. I will update this thread when we have something to share.
As for the version, you can check installed package version in the terminal or in the editor app on the ‘About’ page.
That’s specifically the page I cannot seem to locate. I don’t see a place anywhere on the UI to get to it. There’s no “Help” > “About” or any “About” under “File” or anything.
Please point me to the guide that you used for Desktop Editors installation. If it was package installation, you can check the version of package with sudo apt list --installed
or dpkg -l | grep onlyoffice
command.
I installed OnlyOffice via the “Software Manager” app on Linux Mint 21.3. Per its description, it looks like I have version 8.1.1, although it’s worth pointing out that your command sudo apt list --installed or dpkg -l | grep onlyoffice
only works for Debian-derivative distros. Wouldn’t work for someone on Fedora, for example, and I’m still at a loss as to where this “About” page in the actual software is.
I didn’t use a guide. I installed it from the “Software Manager” application within Linux Mint, which pulled it from the Flathub repository, which appears to be an official package: Install ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors on Linux | Flathub
It seems odd, you should be able to see ‘About’ page.
Is it possible to re-install the app from scratch? Just in case, here’s official guide for Linux Mint: Installing ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors on Linux Mint - ONLYOFFICE
