Drawing with a pen on a running presentation does not work

Drawing with a pen on opened slide deck does not work properly.

Lines are drawn even though the pen does not touch the display. Therefore, writing text with a pen is impossible right now - (Dell Lattitude with active pen).

Might refer to capacitive pens only, which give already some input to the display at a distance of 1.5 to 2 cm.

Version: Presentations, Version 8.3.2.19 (x64 exe), desktop client

Hello @ProfMat
We are checking the described scenario. I will contact you as soon as possible.

Hello @ProfMat
Please clarify the exact model\version of the device and the pen.

I am using a Dell Latitude 7320 Detachable.

OnlyOffice 8.3.2.19 on Windows 10 x64

I just double-checked: I have similar issues using the touch-function (drawing with fingers) instead of the pen.

In order to draw a proper line, I have to do the following:

  1. Tip the pen and start drawing a line for few pixel
  2. lift the pen (it continues to draw the line wherever I move the pen)
  3. Tip the pen again to end the line

Same holds for using touch-input (except that it does not continue to draw as second step)

With this approach, it is impossible to write text on the slides.

I can draw with my mouse.

  1. Klick
  2. draw
  3. lift

This seems to be ok - but pen and touch input unfortunately not.

Thank you! We are looking into it.
