I use OFORM in Desktop Editors. I find there is only plain text. Does it suport rich text. you know, rich text is usefull.
OS version: windows 11
Downloaded from: ONLYOFFICE website
It is better in oform, you know in oform, we have more configurations. For example, in oform, you can connected several text, make them have the same values.
@Li.fe
I still don’t fully understand you, but I can definitely say that you can see all the text editing capabilities we have available in ONLYOFFICE editor.
@Nikolas thanks Nikolas. I have tried text editing capabilities. I mean the rich text in Content Controls does not hava key property, so can not use Fields connected. It means two rich text can not have the same values. I have to input two times. I juest need input one time when several Text Field are connected.
Hello @Li.fe
The functionality that you are referring to is available in OFORMS. When adding Text Fields to the DOCXF/OFORM document, you can set the same key for several field and they will be filled out simultaneously when only 1 is filled. Here is small demo:
Also, from your original question about Rich Text, in OFORMS you can use Inline Text Field as basically the same.
The ‘Text Field’ in ‘Forms’ has the ‘Key’,we can set the same key for several fields and make them have the same value. But the ‘Rich text’ in ‘Content Controls’ has not ‘Key’, so i can not make two Rich texts has the same value.
You are correct. This Key feature is available for Forms only, Content Controls does not have such functionality. If there is anything that I don’t understand from your message yet, let me know.
Sometimes,we may copy a excel several times to OFORMS file, but Forms does not support it. If ‘Content Controls’ has ‘Key’,we can use it and just need copy one time.
Hello @Li.fe
To be honest, I’m not sure that I understand your scenario right. Would you mind recording a video file while you are reproducing the usage scenario?
I have such usage scenario:
My Requirements Specification and Contract in one Oform doucument.
so i need input my Requirements, for example product list. I ues one Rich text Conent Controls, like this:
ProductName | Quantity | Price | Cost |
---|---|---|---|
Pen | 10 | 1.5 | 15 |
BooK | 20 | 1.2 | 24 |
Pen | 10 | 1.7 | 17 |
Pen | 10 | 1.8 | 18 |
Pen | 10 | 1.9 | 19 |
I also need the product list In Contract. So i I ues aother one Rich text Conent Controls. I have to input two times.
ProductName | Quantity | Price | Cost |
---|---|---|---|
Pen | 10 | 1.5 | 15 |
BooK | 20 | 1.2 | 24 |
Pen | 10 | 1.7 | 17 |
Pen | 10 | 1.8 | 18 |
Pen | 10 | 1.9 | 19 |
you see, here i need too input two times. So how to make Rich text have the same values?
Just to clarify the situation. You have two content controls in the same file and you need the method to update them simultaneously via API?
Yes, You have two content controls in the same file and you need the method to update them simultaneously . But not via API, I use Desktop Editors, so I want Desktop Editors can update by itself.
Hello @Li.fe
We are checking the situation. I will update this thread when we have something to share.
Hello @Li.fe
Thank you for your suggestion. We have started working on it. We will update this thread when we have something to share.
Hello @Li.fe
Is it possible to share some more details on the requested feature?
More specifically, I’d like to know what kind of data or text you are willing to put inside such Content Controls and also if you only want to synchronize the content inside all Content Controls with the same key
in general. How are you willing to mainly use such functionality of Content Controls, i.e. what is the usage scenario behind this request?
It would be very kind of you if you can provide a sample document and detailed scenario on how you want to use it for the reference.
Thank you.
1.mainly data in content:
(1) text content
(2) text and table
(3) text and table and picture
2. It is better to synchronize the content inside all Content Controls with the same key in general. I want the foramt of the content also been synchronized.purchase-order and contract.docx (66.8 KB)
