I tried to use OnlyOffice on galaxy S-series phone while connected to external monitor, but it’s very difficult to use because of phone layout. Same thing on tablets. It will be great to have a availability to switch between mobile and desktop-like interface to use it on big screens.
Also will be great if different DPI will be supported, for work with standard 96PPI monitors.
May I wait for this feature, or this isn’t planning to be created?
In addition, must say, the OnlyOffice just unusable in DeX mode, for example, in tables editor i can’t move the table because there are not any sliders and mouse wheel just doing nothing, also when moving selection with keyboard arrow keys the selection just move away and page stays on the same place. It’s very sad, because the rendering of document is pretty good on external monitor.
Hello @Iori
Sorry for the late reply.
Could you please double-check if you are able to switch between mobile and desktop-like interface via upper-right menu as it shown on the screenshot?
also when moving selection with keyboard arrow keys the selection just move away and page stays on the same place.
Is it possible to record a video file with your actions?
As for the scroll issue via the mouse, we have reproduced situation and added a bug to internal tracksystem. We have started working on it. Thank you for the valuable data!
Hello @Alexandre
Sorry for delay. I checked apps. Must say, you did a great job. But I found some problems: Table editor:
I can’t type in cell just after selecting it. I must to activate field with double-click
Vertical swipe-like scrolling works fine, but horizontal doesn’t work at all, can’t move sheet left or right.
Can’t select multiple cells with holding ctrl
While selected, cell selection mark has two squares on edges (for selecting multiple cells), these squares are just huge
Typing or pressing arrow keys on keyboard cause slight desaturation of the sheet (not sure it’s OnlyOffice related, samsung gallery has same behavior)
All changes in cell (typing or using instruments like make the font bold) have huge delay, like 2 secs before i can see changes.
Also I have a suggestion to move formula input field to the top, like it made in desktop version. Text editor:
No selection like on desktops (holding mouse button and moving coursor)
Selection marks are huge (not a big problem, just doesn’t looks good)
No ruler. It will be great to see it here.
No zoom. If document opens in big or fullscreen mode, it looks huge and the width of document is adjusting to the width of the window, and I can’t change it until resize the window to something like A4 sheet, close document and open in again.
General:
All mouse buttons act the same. No right-click, no context menus.
Instrument panel doesn’t expand on big screen when it’s anough space for it.
Aside of all above, I’m very grateful to see all the changes you did. It’s really a great progress.
Can you provide a screen recording of this issue? It seems to be reproducible outside the Documents app, so it may be a software bug in general and it must be visible on a recording.
What is referenced as “instrument panel”? Can you also share a screenshot for better understanding?
How exactly you are scrolling horizontally? With finger swipe or else?
Then I press arrow keys several times, focus start jumping between cells and instruments (for example, formula input bar), then I press arrow keys again to move back to the sheet and it becomes
