Default Download Folder (Location and Setting)

I use the cloud feature for several documents and decided to backup what I have on the cloud by downloading the folder from the cloud on to my local drive (computer’s hard drive).

I opened OO Editors on my computer, connected to the cloud and navigated to the folder I wanted to download. I right clicked on it and selected “Download” from the menu. The download icon appeared at the lower right of the screen, the progress bar scrolled around and I got a message that the download was complete along with a green check on the icon.

The program didn’t ask where I wanted to download to (no popup to ask for download location and file name for the download). I then looked around my computer (desktop, downloads, documents folders, even the Users/App Data folders) and tried searching for various names it might have saved as.

I also looked in the OO Editors settings and the Cloud settings (in the OO Editors interface) to try to find a download location specified in the settings. I couldn’t find anything there either. I also tried looking through the help but it doesn’t mention a download location.

I tried clicking the 3 dots by the folder and selecting download again. The same thing happened: no dialog and progress bar filled in and download finished.

As embarrassing as it is, can someone tell me:

  1. The default location where I can find the folder/files I just downloaded
  2. Is there a setting in OO Editors to specify the download location (I couldn’t find one).

OS version: Windows10
App version: ONLYOFFICE
version 9.0.0.172 (x64 exe)
Downloaded from: ONLYOFFICE website (was v8 but recently updated to v9 via the OO Editors internal update feature)

Additional information: This issue is limited to OnlyOffice Editors desktop app. I logged in to the cloud through my browser and the download works there (browser version): a popup is displayed to confirm filename and location.

Hello @sporto,
Please clarify what particular cloud you are using

Hi @DmitriiV,
Sorry for forgetting to add that detail: I’m using the free/personal DocSpace cloud ([user].onlyoffice.com):

Document management: ONLYOFFICE DocSpace v.3.1.1
Online editors: ONLYOFFICE Docs v.9.0.2.4
Software license: Commercial

I also think that the issue is limited to Windows OO Editors. I tried a download in Linux and it worked: a “Save As” dialog comes up with filename and location choice.
