Date value appears empty in spreadsheet editor (file from MS Excel)

I want to report a bug.

  1. I create an Excel in MS Excel (in german) containing date fields and other stuff.
  2. All text fields are rendered fine so for excel date fields. These appear empty.
  3. Even when switching from viewing mode to edit mode, all date fields are empty.
  4. Even the formula input bar tells me that there is no data in them.
  5. When saving the file in OO, all date fields are emptied, also for MS Excel.
  6. When inputing a date field in OO, it appears afterwards in MS Excel.
  7. Then I can also add date fields in MS Excel, which then appear in OO.

Opening in MS Excel will show a date value, but opening it in OO will not.

Mind you sharing how this date field was added into provided document?

Hi @Constantine, I just type it in as 30.07.2024 and press enter.
Nothing unusual. Is save the Excel as xlsx, which is the default.

Could you please record a video file with your test? I have checked the provided file on the K8s Document server (v.8.1.1), all things are OK.
We need the exact usage scenario to check it out.
