Thanks for your help
Hello @arcqus
Thank you for your report!
Please clarify the exact Linux Mint version and if the issue is still reproducible with files from screenshot. If so, could you please provide us with these files?
Hello
As mentioned in my post : last version & up to date => mint 22.1
These kind of issues are not systematical (hopefully) so for know it is ok.
Uhm… you might have read my post too fast
I joined the files the line above the screenshot

Hm, something went wrong, I can’t download them. Could you please re-upload them?
Indeed, the link is not clickable.
Here it is again:
Hello @arcqus
Thank you for the provided files!
Recently we released Desktop Editors v.8.3.3. Could you please double-check whether the issue reproduces on the new version as well?
Hello
I will as soon as the flatpak is available in the linuxmint app center.

Hello
I’m back with:
- the version 8.3.3 set up
- a swap file on my system (8Go, half my RAM and more than generally advised)
- and unfortunately a crash report
Here is the crash report from my linux mint setup (last version - up to date) and the files from the “recovery” folder: kDrive
Hello @arcqus
Thank you for the provided files, we are checking the situation.
Hello @arcqus
Unfortunately, we aren’t able to reproduce the situation so far. Could you please specify whether the same issue occurs while you’re working with other apps?
Additionally, is it possible to run some diagnostic tools such as memtest86+ or Aida64 to check out if there’re any issues with the PC itself?
Hello @arcqus
Could you please clarify whether the issue is still reproducible? If so, is it related to specific files or any files?
Also, could you please try to reproduce the issue and collect GDB debugger output log file? https://community.linuxmint.com/software/view/gdb#
Hello
Yes, the issue is still happening, and it is not related to the opened files.
I’ll give a look at gdb, but it might be to far from my abilities.
Thank you, please keep us posted.
We are looking forward to your reply if you have had a chance to collect GDB logs.
Hello Alexandre
A classic way for me to face the problem (ie reproduce it :-)) is to load heavy pages in firefox (ex : videos or heavy pictures) and regularly, the machine will almost freeze for up to 2 minutes, and 4 times out of five, the freeze stops when OO closes.
Right now I don’t have time to investigate deeply the issue. In July I’ll do a fresh set up of the OS with a real swap partition on the HD.
Till then, I’ll live with the issue.
Hello @arcqus
Ok, we will be in touch and ready to continue the investigation once you come back with additional information.
