Conditional formatting in table with relative references

This is probably the same topic as mentioned in this post.

I really like the conditional formatting in principle, but it becomes practially useless in my application, where the reference cell must be defined relatively to the cell that shall be formatted. Even if one removes the $ signs in the address of the cell that is referred to, copying the format via the paintbrush will still keep the exact same cell as a reference. As this behaviour is inconsistent with copying cells (where addresses are adjusted if the $ is not there), I would consider this a bug.

I created a demonstration with explanations, which is available here.

Thanks! Martin

Hello @mgschultz
Sorry for the late reply.
Thank you for the file! We are looking into it.
In all cases you mentioned ‘paintbrush’ for F-H cells. Do you mean this icon (‘Copy style’)?

yes, exactly! Thank you for the reply.

Hello @mgschultz
Do I understand that the main point of the test cases right that in scenario of cell copying, the conditional formatting should be applied to new cell as well(cases 1 and 2)?
Case 3 seems an issue with the logic of conditional formatting itself, we will check it out as well. Please confirm that I understood the scenarios correctly.
