The temp folder has many large files. What’s it? Can I delete them?

Please let us know versions of all Workspace components. You can find them in Update section of Control Panel.
No, it doesn’t. This directory contains archives that are created when downloading multiple documents/folders from the portal. You can clear out the folders’ content but do not remove the folder itself.
As for the versions: note that you are using outdated versions, please consider updating your Workspace components to their actual versions.
Before updating from such old versions it is recommended to prepare whole server backup/snapshot so in case of any issues you can roll back.
