Cannot save my sheet document

OS version: Ubuntu 24
App version: 8.1.1.27 (snap)

My document is not saved when I click on Save…

This is a sufficient reason for me to give up with OnlyOffice and go back to LibreOffice, because it is a real basic function that we should be able to rely on !

When I save my sheet document (quite big, with lots of tabs) it takes time saying my document is being saved but then when I close my doc and reopen it it is not modified at all !

Same thing if I clic on “Save as” and make a copy of this doc, then I find no copy of the doc on disk… and there is no error message at all !!!

I’m happy I found this error quite soon before making big modifications on my docs, this is a real shame.

I installed it from the terminal command line :

$ sudo snap install onlyoffice-desktopeditors

Here are the error messages displayed on my terminal when I launch onlyoffice from it:

$ onlyoffice-desktopeditors

Meanwhile I have another issue :
I cannot open a document which is located on another disk on my laptop (/data) which is accessible by LibreOffice anyway…

Another issue I have is I find no shortcut to repeat an action (ctrl-Y or ctrl-shift-Y does not work) which is very annoying compared to LibreOffice.

Hello @steven777

Please record a video file with demonstration of this issue and provide it. Does it happen only with particular file or with all of them even new ones?

Since there are errors when launching Desktop Editors, I’d recommend trying to install the app from other source such as DEB package. Full list of available installation types you can find here:
