Bug with Microsoft SwiftKey virtual keyboard

Bug contexte :
When using Onlyoffice (mainly in documents) with the virtual keyboard Microsoft SwiftKey on a Huawei tablet.
SwiftKey is the builtin virtual keyboard Huawei use by default.
If we download and use gboard keyboard from Google it works fine.
SwiftKey works fine in all other applications.

Bug description :
In Web version : each word is capitalised (first letter) and its not possible to backward delete without mooving the cursor before.
In Android App version : each letter are separated with a space.

Examples :
In Web : This Sentense Is Writed Like This And Need < > Movment Before Backward Delete <X]
In App : t h i s s e n t e n s e i s w r i t e d l i k e t h i s

Could you specify some information so we can run some tests:

  • version of Document Server;
  • type of Document Server installation (DEB/RPM, docker, exe);
  • version of ONLYOFFICE Docs app;
  • version of SwiftKey;
  • type and version of tablet’s OS.

We have created bug report number 59585 based on this issue. The fix comes out with the version 7.3 of our editors that will be available in first quarter of 2023.

OK, but what about mobile app for android?

I’m very sorry for failing to mention mobile app. For the mobile app fix will be released with version 5.6.0 that will be available in the same time frames.

We have released version 7.3.0 of Document Server. Please update your current instance and check the situation.
Unfortunately, version 5.6.0 of Mobile Editors will be available a bit later.

Currently, it is planned to release Mobile Editors v5.6 on this week but the time frames may shift.
I will inform you when new version is available.

Unfortunately, as I said time frames may shift and they did.
Currently there is a lot of work in progress and we don’t have estimated dates yet.

I wanted to inform you that we have decided to release initial version 5.6 for Android, it is already available in Google Play. A bit later additional hotfix containing more bug fixed will be released.
Please update your current version and check the situation again.
