I can’t allow a change in cell contents in a protected spreadsheet sheet, despite setting “select unlocked cells”.
The selection is possible, but not the modification??
Only the additional setting “select locked cells” allows the modification.
In this case, it is of course possible to select a lock cell.
If we try to modify, a warning message appears then…

This is expected behavior. The Protect Sheet feature disables the possibility to make changes in the whole sheet.
You can set certain ranges that can be edited with Allow Edit Ranges.
For example, I’ve allowed range from A1 to B8 to be edited without password, then protected the sheet with password, the result goes like this:

What I’m looking for:
- Not being able to access red cells. (or modify them…)
- Be able to access green cells and be able to edit them.
1st Parameter test:
I locked the Red cells, not the Green ones…

I am very sorry for misunderstanding the request.
This scenario can be achieved by unlocking needed cells and then setting up Protect Sheet. The cells can be unlocked by selecting needed range and removing next checkbox in the Protection tab of the main toolbar:
But, unfortunately, right now there is a bug (number 59578) that prevents unlocked cells from being edited when the sheet is protected with Protect Sheet feature. This bug is fixed in the upcoming version 7.3 of our editors. We are planning to release new version in 6-8 weeks.
