XLSX opens at first cell instead of last position in 8.3.3.21 (Windows 11)

In Microsoft Excel, an .xlsx workbook reopens exactly at the last active sheet, cell, and scroll position. In ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors, the same .xlsx file always opens at cell A1 (top-left corner of the sheet), no matter where the cursor or scroll position was when the file was saved and closed. This occurs 100 % of the time.

Hello @AeternaMens

This query was registered earlier and should become available in version 9.0 of Desktop Editors. Currently, position is remembered for the last edited cell before save and it is expected behavior.

Thank you for confirming that this issue is known. I’ll be looking forward to the fix in the upcoming version.

You mentioned: Currently, position is remembered for the last edited cell before save.

However, I’d like to report that this also does not work on my side.
I’ve tested it multiple times — no matter where the edited cell is before saving, the file always opens at the very first cell (A1), with both horizontal and vertical scroll positions reset to 0.
I have read that this is expected behavior in the current version, but I can confirm it simply doesn’t work for me at all.

Also, I’d like to report a second issue related to scroll bar behavior in large spreadsheets.
When clicking on the right empty area of the scroll bar, the page scrolls by a reasonable chunk — this is fine.
However, when the sheet is near the end (i.e., no more data further right), clicking the scrollbar causes a huge jump, and visible cells with actual content disappear off-screen.
I have to scroll back manually every time, which is inefficient and time-consuming.

For reference, Microsoft Excel handles this correctly — scrolling never hides all actual content.
Please consider improving this behavior in future releases as well.

Thanks again for your attention.

Please let me know Os of your device and installation type of Desktop Editors.

As for the second reported issue: please start a new topic to avoid mixing up several issues in a single topic.

Thank you for your reply.

I’m using Windows 11 with all updates, and the Desktop Editors were installed via the EXE installer from the official ONLYOFFICE website.

Regarding the second issue — sure, I will create a new topic for that shortly. Thank you for the clarification.
