Layout of new slide cannot be changed until slide list is unhidden

Additional information:
Upon creation of a new slide while the slide list is hidden, the layout cannot be changed until after the slide list has been unhidden. Hiding the slide list again does not prevent further layout changes.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. With a presentation file open in the desktop editor, hide the slide list.
  2. Add a new slide either with the “Add slide” button or the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+M).
  3. Open the “Change slide layout” menu.
  4. Select any layout other than the current layout.
  5. Unhide the slide list.
  6. Repeat steps 3 & 4.

Expected results: The layout of the slide should change whether the slide list has been hidden or not.

Actual results: The layout of the slide cannot be changed until the slide list has been unhidden at least once after its creation.
