About the forced font conversion and text truncation issues of PDF files by PDF editors

I want to report a bug about the forced font conversion and text truncation issues of PDF files by ONLYOFFICE PDF editors.
When using ONLYOFFICE PDF Editor to edit a PDF e-book downloaded from other websites, the font file built into the PDF file is not installed on the Windows system, so the font of all text in the current page of the file is forcibly replaced with the installed font. And if the replaced font is wider than the original font, the excess content in the text box will be truncated by the editor, and the user needs to manually adjust the text box width to display the complete content.

OS version: Microsoft Windows 10 22H2 (10.0.19045.5247)
App version: ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors Windows x64 9.0.0.172
Downloaded from: ONLYOFFICE website

Hello @micro201014

I will verify the information and come back with an update. Please await my feedback.

Thank you.

I found a useful example: Edit PDF Online & Free - Pi7 PDF Editor

This online editor can achieve the functions I mentioned.

Here are the javascript files and resource files I extracted from their website, however this is not complete, the code to export the subsetted fonts is not included in these files.

However, you can use FontForge to export fonts and subsetted fonts in PDF, and it’s completely open source.

Thank you for the reply. I was informed that this behavior is a bug, so your query is added to it.
I will provide an update on status once it is available.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
